This Monday, we watched the future of Apple’s various operating systems at WWDC 2021, including a sneak peek in iOS 15. The upcoming large iOS software update won’t be ready until this autumn, but we have been shown some of the most critical new features that are going to be coming in the update, for example spatial audio and Portrait mode for FaceTime, the newest SharePlay attribute to see TV shows and films with friends, overhauled alarms, Focus, Live Text, and much more.

The future is exciting, but sometimes it is just as entertaining to take a step back and learn more about the past. To this end, 18-year old programmer Zane has reconstructed iOS 4 as an iPhone app called OldOS he states is”designed to be as close to pixel-perfect as possible.” Whatever you recall about the old-school functioning system has been recreated from scratch utilizing SwiftUI.
